'DREAM 2007' is the vision of Dongbu Savings Bank, offering the
roadmap toward acquiring necessary competitiveness to become a complete
retail bank.
'DREAM 2007' was formulated, based on in-depth studies conducted
since October 2002, consisting in comparing competitiveness among
leading overseas savings banks and analyzing benchmark financial
systems, to provide strategic guidelines to Dongbu Savings Bank¡¯s
bid to emerge successfully as a retail bank.

By overhauling our existing processes, we intend to build
global-standard competencies and competitiveness. We will
strengthen our financial service portfolio by introducing further
differentiation in our services; develop human resources to foster
financial experts; and redesign our compensation system toward a result-oriented
system.
Introducing Advanced Financial Marketing Techniques through
Our Overseas Partners
In addition to our active exchange with Germany¡¯s Sparkassen with
whom we entered into partnership in May 2004, we are also building
a collaborative relationship with Swedbank, one of Northern Europe¡¯s
largest banking groups. A delegation from Swedbank¡¯s management visited
Korea in June of this year, offering us management consulting and
providing us with many useful past examples and case studies.
Under 'DREAM 2007,' Dongbu Savings Bank will devote the coming
3 years to the enhancement of core competitiveness to secure a strong
position in the personal financing market. |
